Meet Kru Soda

Yoga teacher, healer, and guide on the path to balance.

My Story, From the Beginning

A Journey from Healing to Teaching

I’m Kru Soda, a yoga teacher based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am a certified 500-hour yoga instructor and have been practicing and teaching yoga for more than a decade.

My path to yoga began not from comfort, but from challenge. At the age of 20, I was in a serious accident that shattered my left leg. I broke my tibia, fibula, and ankle, and after surgery, I spent nearly two years in recovery. I was left with a long scar from my ankle to my shin, visible titanium and screws beneath my skin, and a permanently rotated foot that deeply affected my balance.

For a time, I thought these injuries would define the rest of my life. Walking was difficult, balance was fragile, and my confidence suffered. Yet, through this hardship, I discovered something that would change everything: yoga.

How Yoga Transformed My Life

Yoga became more than exercise, it became a form of healing. Through consistent practice, I began to rebuild strength, improve alignment, and find balance in both body and mind. Movements that once felt impossible gradually became accessible. Breathing practices brought me calm and clarity. Meditation taught me patience and presence.

What had started as a way to cope with physical limitations soon became a path of transformation. Yoga not only helped me recover, it gave me a new outlook on life. My limitations became my teachers, showing me the importance of compassion, persistence, and acceptance.

Teachers and Training

Inspired by this transformation, I chose to dedicate myself fully to yoga. I completed 500 hours of certified teacher training, and over the years I have continued to learn from both Thai and international teachers. Their guidance has shaped my practice and teaching, helping me blend traditional yoga wisdom with a modern understanding of movement and alignment.

While the accident gave me the motivation to begin, my teachers gave me the tools to grow. I carry their lessons with me and pass them on with gratitude to every student I meet.

My Teaching Style

I believe yoga should meet you where you are. Every body is different, every story is unique, and every practice should reflect that. In my classes, I focus on:

• Personalized sequences that adapt to your body and your goals.

• Alignment and balance, helping you feel stable and safe in each posture.

• Breath awareness, connecting movement with calm, steady breathing.

• Relaxation and centering, giving space for the mind to rest.

Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, my goal is to create a supportive space where you can explore, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

Why I Teach

Yoga gave me back my strength, balance, and confidence. It turned pain into resilience and struggle into growth. Because of this, I feel a deep calling to share yoga with others. I know from my own journey that transformation is possible, no matter where you begin.

Today, I teach students from around the world, online and in person, helping them improve flexibility, build strength, release stress, and discover inner peace.
